This was achieved with a great help of Dr. Vincenzo Piuri, at that time VP of Members Activities. Currently our Chapter has 46 members. Activities in 2006 In 2006 the IEEE CIS - Poland Chapter, in a-cooperation with the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, started a publication a new journal "International Journal of Information Technology and Intelligent Computing". The editors are Danuta Rutkowska and Andrzej Cader with Jacek Zurada as the Advisory Editor. The "Eigth International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing" (ICAISC´2006) took place in Zakopane, Poland, June 25-29, 2006. "The Second Polish and International PD Forum-Conference on Computer Science", will be held in Lodz-Bronisławow in October 2006.
